I am an AI governance and data protection expert with experience working with the highest levels of government, businesses, think tanks and non-profits in different countries of the world. In my current role at NVIDIA, I focus on understanding how nations can navigate the pros and cons of artificial intelligence to support their economic, social and sustainability goals.
I have spent four years funded by Mozilla Foundation, Stiftung Mercator Germany and European New School of Digital Studies at Europa-Universität Viadrina working on how European regulatory approaches for AI can be implemented by start-ups and small businesses so they actually have the societal impact that we hope for.
Previously, I have spent 15 years as a diplomat representing the German government in different functions and countries, most recently on the US West Coast, building strong relationships with Silicon Valley businesses, start-ups, institutions and executives, creating public-private initiatives, partnering with the most diverse stakeholders, and serving as the media spokesperson for Germany on the US West Coast.
