Mario Brandenburg, MdB

Mario Brandenburg has a master degree in business informatics. He was recruited in 2009 by Europe’s largest software company SAP SE, where he worked until 2017, first in various positions as a working student, and later as a Cloud Integration Architect and consultant. Since 2017, he has been a member of the German Bundestag for the Liberal Democrats (FDP). In the 20th legislative term, he was the spokesman for research, technology and innovation and a member (chairman) of the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment. From July 2022 to November 2024, he served as Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Education and Research. Mario is an outspoken optimist and a true believer in the power of technology. He has set himself the goal of highlighting Germany globally in the field of modern technology and as an innovation nation.
