Transatlantic AI eXchange TAIX Founder/Chief Connector and Evangelist Thomas founded Transatlantic AI eXchange TAIX in Jan. 2021 as a platform that aims at accelerating and expanding the global economic, social, and academic leadership of the US and Germany in the human-machine economy. Through webinars, workshops, conferences and one-to-one coaching, the Transatlantic AI eXchange fosters exchange on AI and creates the grounds for entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, corporations, and policymakers to build long-term partnerships. Intel – GM @ Datacenter and AI Cloud Execution and Strategy Group Building new, transformative lines of business as potential new revenue sources. Adopting the venture capital playbook to form new IOUs (independent operating units) that act like start-up companies and facilitate their success in an agile, fail-fast environment. In January 2017 Thomas joint Intel’s New Technology Group to lead global sales for 3D Perceptual Computing. Afterwards he joint IOTG group focusing exclusively on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning establishing a program to provide application/algo developers and partners early access to new silicon/platform technologies. Thomas’ specialty is building global teams in Europe and Asia. As VP/GM Deutsche Telekom he was leading the North America activities for innovative partnering. This led to over 40 commercial deals and investments. Before he managed worldwide accounts at Logitech. Over 8 years as VP BD, he was involved in numerous start-ups evangelizing desktop video conferencing. In Silicon Valley since ‘91 he spent his time in the graphics industry and as VP/GM at ELSA established the US presence until the IPO in 1998. Married with 2 children Thomas is trying to stay healthy by coaching and running Marathons around the world. As an entrepreneur and individual investor, he is advising numerous start-ups. He is founding member and til recently Chairman of GABA German American Business Association a none profit business network and also co-founded SVMC Silicon Valley Marathon Club” Mentoring Philosophy I engaged with mentors my entire professional life and always appreciated the value and time of my mentors.
