With over 21 years of work experience, I am a passionate and visionary leader in the field AI, speech recognition, pattern recognition, and machine learning. As the head of department of Fraunhofer IAIS NetMedi, I oversee a team of talented researchers and engineers who develop innovative solutions for various applications domains, such as audio-visual archives, media, large language models and GPAI . I am driven by the mission of advancing the state lof the art in multimedia search technologies and creating positive impact for society and the environment.
In my current role, I leverage my PhD in Communication Technologies and my extensive expertise in artificial intelligence and computer science to coordinate and manage several European projects, such as SHARE, LIVE, and Pre-PAI. I also collaborate with academic and industrial partners, such as TU Munich, Siemens, and RWTH Aachen, to foster knowledge exchange and innovation. I have contributed to multiple publications, patents, and awards in the field of AI and speech recognition, and I enjoy sharing my insights and experience at international conferences and workshops.
