AI is not just a technology. It’s a reflection of how we think, lead, and collaborate.

As the daughter of an engineer, I grew up surrounded by machines, prototypes, and a deep fascination for what’s technically possible. But from early on, I was just as curious about the people behind the systems – and how technology can be shaped to truly serve society.

That mindset led me to study technical business administration with a focus on innovation and systems thinking, and later to pursue a PhD in an interdisciplinary research environment bridging engineering, informatics, and business.

Today, I bring both worlds together. As Managing Director of the appliedAI Institute for Europe, I work at the intersection of AI, education, policy, and ecosystem building – with the goal of empowering people to develop and use AI responsibly, collaboratively, and purposefully.

Throughout my career – in public innovation agencies, research institutions, and digital transformation projects – I’ve learned that meaningful change doesn’t happen in silos. It happens when disciplines connect, when teams evolve, and when leadership creates space for others to grow.

I’m particularly passionate about three things:
• Driving applied AI innovation that is ambitious, responsible, and human-centered
• Building ecosystems that turn complexity into collaboration and action
• Shaping leadership that is visible, reflective, and empowering

For me, AI is not just a technology – it’s a mirror of our intentions, systems, and values. And I believe we need to shape it with both ambition and humility.

Let’s build the kind of future we actually want to live in – together.
