Joerg Bienert is Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director of the German AI Association (KI Bundesverband e.V.), Germany’s leading AI industry body. As Managing Director of LEAM GmbH (Large European AI Models), he drives the Center for Sovereign AI and leads the development of the European foundation model project Soofi. A recognized thought leader in Data & AI, Bienert regularly advises industry and government stakeholders and is a sought-after keynote speaker featured in national and international media. After studying computer science and holding senior positions in the IT industry, he founded ParStream, a Silicon Valley–based big data company, which was successfully acquired by Cisco in 2015.
