Head of Artificial Intelligence at Airbus
Ronny Fehling is Vice President and Head of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing and Data Science at Airbus. He leads the MVP-type projects in data science technologies driving digital transformation of industrial processes & business models using AI. He also heads up the company’s Center of Competency for Cognitive Computing, creating a network of AI and data science with scientists and industry experts. Mr. Fehling came to Airbus from Oracle, where he worked on database innovation, analytics, artificial intelligence, sensor networks and enterprise architecture. He received the Oracle Innovation Award in 2007 and 2013. Mr. Fehling holds a patent in the area of Sensor Networks and published several papers. Born in Germany, Mr. Fehling lived in the Netherlands, Tanzania, Canada and the U.S. He undertook graduate coursework at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received his masters in computer science from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.
